Tenancy agreements and the Deposit Protection Scheme

Once you agree to sign-up as a resident we ask you to fill out an individual assured short hold tenancy agreement with us. Both parties then sign this and we each retain a copy. This may be emailed.

We ask for a month’s deposit during the signing of the contract, this is one month’s rent. We then send this off to the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS), which is regulated by the Government and now a legal requirement for landlords.

Every resident is emailed a reference number by the DPS, please keep this safe as you will need it when requesting the return of your deposit. The deposit is held by the DPS until the end of contract and is returned to you by them when both parties agree.

To book a room we require a reservation fee of £100 this fee makes up part of the deposit described above.
